Interview with Taylor
Another interview with an amazing everyday individual! With no bias intended she is a women close to my heart and my partner in crime Taylor. One very important lesson learnt from these engaging interviews is actually the spectrum of colour’s people really have, from observing others from a distance you wouldn’t believe the emotional, mental and physical hardship one has endured.
Though when you take time to just listen and engage even with a loved one, there just so happens to lay a unbelievable personal development story unlike any other.
Taylor’s life experiences moulded perfectly into the chapter “Teen dreams and the childs minds”. She spoke in depth about her views growing up, how it shaped her attitude and some of the strong qualities that made her cope, strive and overall adapt to the changing environment around her. With in this chapter I try to distinguish key mental cues with teens, breaking them down into similar summary points: for example A commonality amongst my current interviewees with in this category is the way they personally process parental conflicts and single parent disciplinary actions in the eyes of a child. Supple minds have a tendency of registering emotions from loved ones that otherwise may not be directly related as relatable! Take for example a child viewing first hand a parental conflict, to that child the actions, tones and body language of that loved one strips that parent of his/her recognisable qualities to that child. In the wake of this, the child registers the scene differently now thoughts consume the actions and the child now dwells inward stating “it was all my fault!, this is my problem! I dislike myself! – This intern creates the development of coping mechanisms in life. Not to say this is the absolute principle default reaction for a child but well with in the “ball park” given from the research I have already collected.
I will leave you with this small snippet taken from the interview from Taylor
“Feeding the positive mind through love of animals”
“IT was my love and passion for animals that would elevate my conscious mind from the reality of life at home, if a negative event took place I would reside close to my pets and tend to there every need as a nurturing adult would, talk and care to my pets would render the negative environment around me absent and not real”.
